Come Find Me
04:29
|
|||
where it begins - it takes a lot to breathe it in
yeah it's a gas - we all knew it wouldn't last
the space inside - is just as tall as it is wide
the sisters come - I counted seven then there's only one
the page was blank - now I know just who to thank
she had to fly - gone before the ink was dry
the space inside - is just as tall as it is wide
the sisters come - I counted seven when there's only one
(I'm gettin' buried in the morning
ding, dong, the bells are gonna chime
girls come and kiss me, tell me you'll miss me
but get me to the church on time)
all dressed in pink - maybe she'll give us a wink
I wonder why - now she's the color of the sky
the space inside - is just as tall as it is wide
the sisters come - I counted seven but there could only be one
you want to confine me - come find me - I'm right here
if you wanna try me - come find me - I'm right here

On to Something
02:42
|
|||
you said you were not the cheating kind
if you need to say it, it’s a lie
careful, don’t get caught when cheating time
you might have to pay a hefty fine
this time
we’re puttin all our duckies in a line
together there’s no tellin’ what we’ll find
may not turn the water into wine
but I know we’re on to somethin’
if I can keep my sights on it
I may still have a shot at bliss
the zeroes and the ones I missed
they all were leading up to this
this time
we’re puttin all our duckies in a line
together there’s no tellin’ what we’ll find
may not turn the water into wine
but I know we’re on to somethin’
this time
we’re puttin all our duckies in a line
drop ‘em one by one as they go by
when the last one passes we’ll be fine
I know we’re on to somethin’ good this time
together there’s no tellin’ what we’ll find
may not turn the water into wine
but I know we’re on to somethin’

The Remedy
04:01
|
|||
check the clock now, gettin' ready for the big night out
keep on movin', duckin’ jukin’ my way through the crowd
this type o’ thing it doesn’t last for too long, so girl get on with it
the party’s startin’ you’re still wondering what to wear
the remedy’s there - you know where it’s at
whatever it is - ooh-uh oh!
it’s already here - where nobody’s in
whatever is it?
feel a bit stronger but you’re not really up for all this
take it all in in the mornin’ you might feel different
all a blur, a stream of faces, the friends you met along the way
it’s upon us and I’m wondering what to say
the remedy’s there - you know where it’s at
whatever it is - ooh-uh oh!
it’s already here - where everyone’s in
whatever is it?
you keep me lonely for an ordinary military advisor
they were all wrong about the seismographic evidence of the last hours
sure hope it floats, we’re gettin loaded, is everyone in?
stay up above now, ‘cause the show is about to begin
your special name-it’s one of many, come on and add it on the list
read it through later and I’ll circle the ones I missed
the remedy’s there - you know where it’s at
whatever it is - ooh-uh oh!
it’s all in your head - where nobody’s in
whatever is it? , ooh-uh oh!
the remedy’s here - you know where it’s at
whatever it is - ooh-uh oh!
we’re already there - is everyone in?

Falling Down
03:12
|
|||
it’s “live it up” time - I got the perfect recipe
a riverboat ride - off the west coast of Tennessee
show up for the show with overflowing cups of wine
we’re all grown up now - we can have just as much as we please
I can’t see a thing now but your smile
I guess I was a willing victim all the while
falling down in style
we’re livin' uptown - a picture waiting for a frame
movin' on up now - sign our names on a claim to fame
all the right ingredients I had to write it down
you tear it up now - and toss it out ‘cause it’s just a game
send it down the river to the sea
such a grand gesture out where everyone could see
falling down with me
bop bop ba da - ba da bada
bop bop ba da - ba da
it’s nearly done now - don’t forget the bestest part
serve it hot now - makin’ omelets outta broken hearts
that’s when I found out there is no end to what you want
(there is no end)
you’re outta luck now - so now you’re off to a brand new start
the day I never thought I’d see
you said forever but whatever did you mean?

Beeline
03:41
|
|||
streaming one by one
steady as they go out
running on fumes
the heat will prolong the day
the workers bake in the sun
breathe in for me now
we can prevent them
from getting away
the queen will announce the way
her dances show the source of this perfume

Torso
05:38
|
|||
how is it these events have crossed our paths?
the alley at the sixth of november
long will the witnesses give testimony
the fury of an ocean’s scorn
turn of the darkened faces a flash of eyelids
the end of the new transmission - “signing off”
lost in a native ritual, now you know where nowhere is
in the flame of fallen figures, ash and smoke eternal
now that you’ve read the script of the final performance
try to laugh when the punch line comes
started in full possession of this destination
the savior sends insincere condolences
